Acknowledges receipt of letter and P.O. order. Requests Poinier's opinion of his own opinion of the Bacon theory which he discusses in the book. Declares: Let the doubters be unbelievers in Homer, Virgil, Horace, Milton, Raleigh, and Spenser- I shall reply to Appleton's man the old 'apple woman' (possibly referring to Appleton Morgan?).
